Serenity

I'm not sure the exactly meaning of the blog name "Beyond the Moon". It sounds cool and I love moon. From the query results from the translating sites, "Beyond the Moon" means "pass the moon" or "go over the moon", while the original meaning that I would like to say is "on the moon". You know, "on the moon" sounds boring, and there is lack of such a feeling when you read it. Whatever the name is, the feeling is important. Therefore, I choose this name.

Sometimes I watch the moon. Maybe when I'm walking, I'm riding a motorcycle, or I'm standing on the yard. The dark holes on the moon makes itself more beautiful. I don't know what others' view, at least I love the irregular shapes with different lighting inside the circle. I like to watch it behind the leaves, or watch it being covered by the clouds. It's a shame that I can't give the moon gorgeous words, like the ancient poets who make graceful arrangements for the words.

Speaking of poets, I think no one would disagree that the most wonderful words is "水調歌頭" made by 蘇軾. 林語堂 wrote a book named "蘇東坡傳" to describe the life of 蘇軾. Maybe he wanted to introduce Chinese culture to the west, so he wrote this book in English. I have found the book translated in Chinese in the library. It seems like the book is too thick for me to read. I have less patience. Also, I think it's rather strange to read a book which is written in English by a Chinese and then is translated in Chinese. What makes it stranger is the book talks about a Chinese poet.

What kinds of the views did 蘇軾 watch? It's said that every painter has a different world from ours. I think it's true and each poet has another world. Through their words, our world is getting more brilliant than before. Watching the moon and reading the poems is kind of wonderful thing. I admire those people who can transform their gorgeous feeling into words, music or painting, and hoping someday I can be one of these guys.
