I waked up at 11 and found that I escaped another course which began at 10. After having the lunch, I considered whether I should go to attend the speech or not. The speaker is 李開復, a very important person in Google. He worked in Microsoft before. I thought 李開復 has to come to Taiwan by airplane, while I come to the speech place by motorcycle. There is a few change he'll come again, so it's worth to attend the speech. I don't expect he'll give a excellent speech, I think he would give the same normal speech as he gave about a half year ago. However, this time he really did a great presentation.
This time he didn't introduce what Google is, instead he told how to make a wise choice. This is the best speech I've attended, and the skill of the presentation was excellent. I can't believe the speaker was the most awful teacher when I was born. I'll write the detailed review on my main Blog.
After the speech ended, I came to the library and prepared to read some casual book. Suddenly, I'd like to play the piano, and I follow the will. When I left the library, I met drinker and her friend. They study in Institute of Information Management in NCTU now. We talked a lot, like being a Teaching Assistant of Data Structure, the tool we used to communicate, or what life we would like to have. Ummm, I often talk about the life with others.
The talk ended smoothly. Sometimes people could chat happily, but not knowing how to end the talk, and then it becomes weirder to end the talk. I think it's somewhat embarrassed. After the talk ended, I went to DMCC to play the electronic piano. There is a good e-piano in DMCC, and I usually played it when I'm a undergraduate student. It's a coincidence to meet justin there. justin is a graduate student in Management Science in NCTU. We have not seen each other for a half year. I really admire his gift in music, and hope I could improve my skill in music like he does. It really requires hard works and the gift.
We talked about what we did latest, and of course I started the same talk : "what life will be." I do think it's a better talk than "how good or bad the weather is", but it's hard to control the topic to prevent it becomes too serious. You know, It's somewhat awful to talk about what life is for two people who have not seen each other for a long time. justin explained the management or life with some examples through the music. I like the examples he gave. We both agree that we need learn many things in different areas. The most important impact for me is still learning the music. Every time I listen to the music justin plays, my passion for learning the music will be higher. It's a pity that I didn't listen to any music today. He had finished the play when I came.
Although we enjoyed the talk (maybe he didn't. XD), the time of the talk was getting longer. At this moment, klandor, who can play the piano and the bass simultaneously when he was a freshman, came. Taking this chance, we ended the talk, and justin went to library. For me, I started another talk with klandor, but it's easier to end the talk between klandor and me without embarrassment. Finally, I could play the piano. klandor showed me the result of his practice. He played the Main Theme in FF7 with the tones of Boesendorfer Piano. This piano song requires long fingers, but I don't have. It's harder for me to play this song. Watching the play of klandor makes me admire his fingers. DMCC is a good place to admire the skills of others, and therefore enhance my passion for improving the skill in music.
While listening to the play by klandor, I thought the low tones of Boesendorfer Piano were very thick, but the high tones were somewhat weak. The best advantage of e-piano is choosing different tones, and it's cheaper. Playing with the e-piano, I got a idea. Because there are two source of the tones - one is the e-piano itself, and the other is the PC - I can use two sources at the same time. I chose Bright Piano in the e-piano and Boesendorfer Piano in the PC, and soon I found what I guessed is right. The high tones is better due to the complement of Bright Piano. Playing this "double pianos" is really interesting. It's like mixing some delicious drinks and creating a better one.
I'm sure I'll buy an e-piano someday.
