2008 is a very special year for me. There are too many things happened. I've stayed in four completely different environment, and a part of my dream has come true, and I'm now in a totally different living style. Too many stories to tell.

When I was a boy, I had very good memory. For example, when I played Chinese chess with a friend of my brother, he messed up all chesses because he would lose. After that, I replaced every chess back to its right position without any consideration. I didn’t know why, but I just remembered their positions naturally. Also, I read many books in my childhood and remembered many poems, proverbs and stories.

As the third season ARIA (animation) is on air, the original work in comic is just over. When I heard this news, I felt a little lost. As I was a senior college student, sometimes I felt pressures. I always found new challenge things, and made me have full of things to avoid wasting time. Therefore, I’d like to find a way to relax my mind. I posted a message on an animations and comics discussion board in bbs.gamer.com.tw; “Can any one recommend me a work that can make people have peaceful minds?” I asked in the message. Magically, almost everybody who replied me said that ARIA was the best choice, so I took their recommendations.

In Chinese idioms, people said “Replace a new brain when replacing one’s position.” Usually, we use this sentence to give managers backhanded compliments. Staffs always think their managers are stupid and hard to buy their advices. They don’t like their managers’ rule and think their organization directs a wrong way, but few people provide their opinions. This phenomenon seems abnormal but happens everywhere. The weirdest point is that every manager was a staff before, so what happens after they were promoted?

Although I often find some new special things to do, regular daily life is very attractive to me. For example, get up at 8, study in English for two hours, study in mathematics for two hours, and then the morning is over. I like this style of life; however, it’s hard for me to achieve.

Yesterday I read the book, “Advice for a Young Investigator”. The author said that the progress of studying science takes three steps. observations, hypotheses and experiments. First, we need to observe our target such as stars, animals, people, etc. Then, we provide our hypotheses about why some facts happen and how our targets move. Last but not least, we conduct experiments to prove or disprove our hypotheses. No matter what kinds of sciences we study in, the progress is similar.

Since I was a senior student in college, I restarted to play basketball again. I chose basketball as my exercise because it would not be boring to exercise with friends. Most of the players were my roommates, and there were some from our classmates. After we graduated from the college, playing basketball together had an additional meaning for us: to meet friends.

When I was a high school student, I read an essay which said that what the author learned in his college life is to make a good habit. Except his good habit, the other things he learned in the college is little helpful to his job.

Last year, I wrote the article "Review of 2006", and recently I found that it’s interesting to reread it after several months. Therefore, I decide to write this kind of article again.
